I am a lecturer in Swedish as a Foreign Language and in English (EFL, EAP) and have been working at FZHB (Bremen University Languages Centre) since 2012. Next to teaching in Germany, I have gained work experience in my home country Sweden, the USA and the UK at various language schools, adult education institutions and universities. In addition to teaching, I thoroughly enjoy designing learning materials for students. I have authored textbooks in Swedish for German learners, created online tests and edited dictionaries for various publishers. Having been involved in an EU-project developing global simulations, I have seen the benefits of a task-based and student-centred approach to language teaching. Language test development is a challenging but exciting field that lends itself to further exploration. I take particular interest in integrated and task-based language assessment. I am currently participating in our FZHB working group for development of test specifications and assessment checklists.
